Summary

It's important to remember the goals and objectives should be derived by the student and negotiated with the teacher. The teachers role is more to guide, monitor and facilitate with an emphasis on construction and not reproduction.

Construction can take place in individual contexts and through social negotiation, collaboration and experience.

A collaborative and cooperative learning environment are favoured in order to expose the learner to alternative viewpoints.

this role in mind we are able to scaffold the students learning to perform just beyond the limits of their ability.
